Living in SeaGate
SeaGate's 4.5-acre site is surrounded by canyons on three sides. The 1973 plans included two heated pools, a therapeutic pool, a gym, a sauna and a putting green, with exterior upkeep handled by the SeaGate Homeowners Association. In 1978 the City Council approved a modified version of the original Seagate plan for neighboring land: 23 single-family homes reached from Ocean Crest Drive and a 15-unit condominium off Island View Drive.
The city's Neighborhood Watch map calls this area Island View. It is separate from the Island View development that has its own homeowners association.
Seagate Drive, home of the Palos Verdes Bay Club, is a different street, in the Beach View area near Palos Verdes Drive South.
