Basemap tiles © Esri. Address search: Esri World Geocoding, with OpenStreetMap Nominatim as a backup. Zones: PVPUSD’s School Locator answers for all 23,297 L.A. County Assessor addresses in PVPUSD and Eastview, entered Oct 2–3, 2026, on L.A. County Assessor lot lines; district edge from L.A. County’s school-district map. Pins mark each school’s main office or entrance as closely as we could place it. Enrollment is the California Department of Education’s 2025–26 census-day count (CDE DataQuest).

Where the zones come from: Zones drawn from PVPUSD’s official School Locator answers for every L.A. County Assessor address in PVPUSD and Eastview (23,297), checked Oct 3, 2026; 100 of those addresses return “No data found,” and a few streets aren’t in the locator at all. Assignments can change; enrollment is confirmed by PVPUSD. A typed address that matches those results is labeled as a match; a map tap, or an address the results don’t include, is based on the nearest addresses. Elementary placement is final only after enrollment, and the locator doesn’t prove district residency. Before any enrollment or home-buying decision, confirm the exact address with PVPUSD’s School Locator or the Enrollment Center at (310) 896-3401 (enrollment page). Spot something that looks wrong? How it works

How PVPUSD assigns schools

Elementary, TK–5

Nine neighborhood schools, each with its own zone; PVPUSD’s School Locator gives the home school for an address. Placement is final only after enrollment is complete; if the home school is full, a student may be placed at the closest school with space. Cornerstone at Pedregal has no zone (families apply), and Lunada Bay’s Spanish dual-immersion program is also by application.

Intermediate, 6–8

Three schools, by address: PV Intermediate (Palos Verdes Estates, the northern Hill and much of the west coast), Ridgecrest (the middle of the Hill) and Miraleste (the east side and the south coast). About 210 homes near Point Vicente (the Avenida streets off Crest Road, Crest Road from 6653 to 6978, and Los Verdes Drive) may choose PV Intermediate or Ridgecrest. Elementary zones don’t line up with intermediate ones: some Montemalaga, Point Vicente and Rancho Vista homes go to different intermediate schools.

High school, 9–12

No boundary: students who live in PVPUSD may choose either Palos Verdes High or Peninsula High, so the map shows no high-school zones. Rancho del Mar, the continuation high school, serves the whole district.

Eastview

Eastview addresses are in Rancho Palos Verdes but inside Los Angeles Unified. A 1998 state law (SB 1681) makes Eastview an optional attendance area, so TK–12 students may choose PVPUSD. PVPUSD’s School Locator returns Dapplegray Elementary and Miraleste Intermediate there; on this map Eastview has a dashed outline.

Rules from PVPUSD’s School Locator and boundary information pages, checked Oct 3, 2026; zone counts from the School Locator results.

Make it official

Confirm your school, then enroll

1. Check the School Locator

PVPUSD’s School Locator (“What’s My School?”) takes a house number, street name and city and returns the official elementary and intermediate school for that address, Eastview included.

2. Ask the Enrollment Center

375 Via Almar, Palos Verdes Estates (park on Via Arroyo). Open to the public Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m., by appointment or walk-in; closed federal holidays and spring break. (310) 896-3401 · enrollment page

3. Register in two steps

Start online through Aeries (about 20 minutes), then bring original documents in person: birth certificate or passport, immunization records, a parent photo ID and two different utility documents showing the home’s service and mailing address, dated within 60 days, with a parent as account holder (printed e-statements aren’t accepted; paperless households can bring utility letters mailed to the home or verify accounts on a district kiosk). Grades 9 and up go directly to the high school. Registration details

Quick answers

PVPUSD schools & boundaries FAQ

Which PVPUSD schools serve my address?

Type your street address into Find your schools at the top of this page. If it matches PVPUSD’s official School Locator results (every L.A. County address in PVPUSD and Eastview, checked Oct 3, 2026), you’ll see the locator’s elementary and intermediate school for it, labeled as a match. If you tap the map or use your location, or the address isn’t in those results, the answer is based on the nearest addresses. High school is your choice of PVHS or Peninsula High. Assignments can change, so confirm with PVPUSD’s official School Locator or the Enrollment Center at (310) 896-3401.

Can my child choose between Palos Verdes High and Peninsula High?

Yes. There is no high-school boundary: PVPUSD’s School Locator page says students residing within the district boundaries may choose either Palos Verdes High School (PVHS) or Palos Verdes Peninsula High School (PVPHS). Rancho del Mar, the continuation high school, serves the whole district. Current PVPUSD 8th graders choose in the Aeries parent portal during a winter window (Jan 26–Feb 15, 2026 for the Class of 2030), and new 9th–12th graders enroll directly at the high school they choose. (PVPUSD enrollment dates)

Can Eastview families attend PVPUSD schools?

Yes. Eastview addresses are in Rancho Palos Verdes but inside Los Angeles Unified. Under a 1998 state law (SB 1681) Eastview is an optional attendance area, so TK–12 students there may choose PVPUSD; the School Locator returns Dapplegray Elementary and Miraleste Intermediate for Eastview addresses. Eastview homes aren’t eligible for other PVPUSD permits, such as the Grandparent Permit, and aren’t charged PVPUSD’s parcel tax (PVPUSD boundary information).

Does Cornerstone at Pedregal have an attendance zone?

No. Cornerstone is a district-wide TK–5 choice school with a parent-participation program, and families anywhere in PVPUSD apply. Seats are filled by random lottery according to grade-level space, with no waitlist. For 2026–27 there were two application windows, March 1–31 and May 15–June 15, 2026, the same as for Lunada Bay’s Spanish dual-immersion program (PVPUSD transfer page).

What if my neighborhood elementary school is full?

PVPUSD says elementary placement is final only after enrollment is complete. If the home school is impacted, a student may be placed at the closest school with space. Board policy also lets the district place some students outside their attendance area to relieve overcrowding. (School Locator page · BP 5116)

Where do the attendance zones on this map come from?

Zones drawn from PVPUSD’s official School Locator answers for every L.A. County Assessor address in PVPUSD and Eastview, checked Oct 3, 2026. We entered all 23,297 of those addresses in the locator and shaded each home’s lot with the schools it returned; streets, parks and open space take the color of the nearest home, and the district edge follows L.A. County’s school-district map. A typed address that matches is labeled as a match; a map tap is based on the nearest addresses, and the result card flags spots close to another zone. One hundred addresses get “No data found” from the locator, and a few streets aren’t in its list; those are marked when you tap them. Assignments can change; enrollment is confirmed by PVPUSD.

Where is the PVPUSD district office?

375 Via Almar, Palos Verdes Estates, CA 90274; main line (310) 378-9966. The Enrollment Center is in the same building (parking on Via Arroyo) and is open to the public Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at (310) 896-3401.
