Which side of Western is RPV?
Mostly, the avenue is the city line
The west side of this stretch is Rancho Palos Verdes: the Eastview neighborhood, annexed from the county in 1983. Most of the east side is the City of Los Angeles, in San Pedro, and it uses San Pedro's own street numbers. Tarragona Plaza's Ralphs and the In-N-Out, for example, are at 1050–1090 N Western Ave.
Those San Pedro businesses aren't in this directory. Our Eat & Shop guide to the Western Avenue corridor covers both sides.
The exceptions across from the Terraces
A run of east-side lots at 28900–29050 S Western is included here: Harbor Cove Plaza, Harbour Cove Shopping Center, and the Exer Urgent Care and animal hospital pads. They use the county's S Western numbering and appear as in-city businesses on Rancho Palos Verdes' active business-license list, even though OpenStreetMap draws the city line down the middle of the avenue there.
Numbering alone isn't a sure guide: the Sprouts and Albertsons at 28090 S Western are on the San Pedro side. If the exact line matters, for a permit say, confirm with the City of Rancho Palos Verdes.
Westmont Plaza
Smart & Final anchors this strip at the north end of the corridor, in RPV's Eastview neighborhood. Chase and Wells Fargo have branches here, and a row of small shops at 28360–28390 holds Nara Thai, Chickenland, Bagels Galore and more.

The Terraces
The corridor's anchor, on three terraced levels: Trader Joe's, Marshalls, LA Fitness and Starlight Terrace Cinemas, plus a Goodwill, FedEx Office and two dozen smaller shops and offices. Suite numbers follow the levels: the 100s are on Level 1, the 200s on Level 2 and the 300s on Level 3.
Owner Perform Properties lists 172,922 sq ft in 33 units, with seven suites available.

The plaza's own online directory is out of date in places, so we list only the businesses Google Maps shows as open here.
