Building outlines © OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL) · basemap and satellite tiles © Esri. Place positions are Palos Verdes Life's own, matched to the school's campus map and parking-lot traffic map. The library, theater and cafeteria share the main building's outline, so their pins show the right part of the building, not the exact door. Campus details can change, so confirm with the school office.

Drop-off & parking

Up the Front Driveway, around the flagpole

Show the route on the map

Drop-off

  1. Turn in at the Front Driveway, on Palos Verdes Drive East at Via Canada.
  2. Follow the school's green arrows up to the front office and around the flagpole circle.
  3. Follow the red arrows back down through the lot and leave the way you came in, onto PV Drive East.

The school's traffic map shows this route but doesn't designate a drop-off zone.

Parking

The front lot is on the west side below the flagpole circle. The larger east lot sits beside the stadium. The front office faces the flagpole circle.

The lower service gate off PV Drive East leads to the stadium. It's private, not a public entrance.

If there's an emergency

The school's campus map names the stadium as the main evacuation area and the blacktop as the alternate. Follow the school's instructions on the day.

Campus traffic rules can change from year to year. Confirm with the school office at (310) 732-0900, or see the school's Parking Lot Traffic Flow Map (PDF).

Gym & pool

The gym and locker rooms stand east of the main classroom building, with the swimming pool just north. The district's Measure SOS phase-one list, approved by the board May 14, 2025, includes critical repairs to the pool along with HVAC and urgent building repairs, about $19.6 million in all (district bond page, which misprints the year as 2026). The pool renovation, approved Aug 27, 2025, was the bond's first construction project; the district expects it to finish in December 2026 (bond timeline · Sept 23, 2026 board update).

Stadium & fields

The stadium, with a running track, field and a grandstand on its west side, is at the east end of campus. The upper field takes the northeast (aerial imagery shows two ball diamonds there, but the school's campus map doesn't show this field), and the tennis courts are at the north end.

Classrooms, library & theater

The main building joins the 100s, 300s, 400s, 500s and 600s wings. The library is in it too, and the Theater Arts Building (band and drama) and cafeteria are at its south end. The blacktop and the 8th Grade Park lawn sit between the classrooms and the gym.

Built in 1963 and renovated in 2002, Miraleste sits on a 34-acre site with about 135,000 square feet of buildings. The district's central kitchen, which prepares meals for every PVPUSD school, is on this campus. The school's map also shows Portable A and Portables B and C; their pins are approximate.

Getting there

Bus or car

PV Transit

PV Transit's Gold line begins at Miraleste, and the Green and Green-Eastview lines also serve the school. Student buses on the Hill are run by the Palos Verdes Peninsula Transit Authority, not the district. The fare is $2.50 cash or TAP, and 2026–27 passes are $305 a semester or $608 a year. By car

Cars enter at the Front Driveway on Palos Verdes Drive East at Via Canada, at the campus's southeast corner. The service gate nearby is private. Directions to 29323 PV Dr E

Who goes here

By address, Miraleste serves every Dapplegray and Mira Catalina address (eastern Rolling Hills Estates, Rolling Hills and southeastern Rancho Palos Verdes), most of the Rancho Vista zone, including unincorporated Westfield, and the Point Vicente zone's south-coast streets, Portuguese Bend included. Eastview addresses are in Rancho Palos Verdes but inside LAUSD; students there who choose PVPUSD are assigned Dapplegray and Miraleste. Our schools map shows the School Locator's answer for every address (checked Oct 3, 2026); confirm yours with PVPUSD's School Locator.

Official map & sources

The school's own maps, and how ours was made

Miraleste's official campus map is drawn with north toward the bottom of the page, so ours, which is north-up, will look upside down next to it. On ours, the PV Drive East entrance is at the bottom right.

We don't copy the school's maps. Here are the originals:

How we placed things

Building outlines come from OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL). We matched the school's campus map and traffic map to those outlines and checked them against the district's site plan. The gym, pool, stadium, courts and lots are placed by their own outlines. The library, theater and cafeteria sit inside one connected building, so their pins are placed by where the school's map shows them. The route on our map follows the green and red arrows on the school's traffic map.
