What we are
Palos Verdes Life covers the whole Hill as one place: the news and issues residents actually track, the schools and their boundaries, the villages' restaurants and stores, the events calendar, the trails and history — and the real estate market, published openly rather than gated behind a lead form. City pages go deep on each of the four cities; the Residents page keeps the practical switchboard.
What we are not
We are an independent publication — not affiliated with the cities of Rancho Palos Verdes, Palos Verdes Estates, Rolling Hills, or Rolling Hills Estates, the Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District, or any homeowners association. For official business, go to the officials; our Residents page lists them all.
How it stays accurate
Briefings and data pages carry their own "updated" and "as of" stamps, so you always know how fresh a page is. Facts are checked against primary sources — city surveys, district pages, public records — and we say plainly when a figure is approximate or a boundary is simplified. When we're wrong, we fix it fast: email us with the page and the fix, and corrections usually ship same day.
The engines behind it
Listing and market data on this site is compiled by Properkey (CA DRE #01979718), the data engine for real estate, lending and insurance on the Hill. Every property links to its Properkey page where one exists, and Properkey is not the listing broker unless stated. Land-movement depth comes from our sister resource pvlandslide.com, the independent hub for the Portuguese Bend story.
