Living in Seacove
The city maps the area as the Seacove neighborhood parking-permit area, and its Neighborhood Watch group goes by Barkentine. At least one real estate site calls it Abalone Cove, and a 2011 broker's guide notes the community's private gated path to the beach.
The 109-acre Abalone Cove Shoreline Park nearby takes in two beaches, tide pools and Portuguese and Inspiration points. When the city redrew its landslide-area boundary in 2025, it removed a strip of cliffside lots south of Seacove Drive, which lie outside the Greater Portuguese Bend Landslide Complex.
