Living in Del Cerro
By late 1962 residents had a Del Cerro Property Owners' association, which opposed a proposed park district that year. The area also fell inside the boundaries of a proposed annexation to Rolling Hills Estates. It is now part of Rancho Palos Verdes, which keeps a Del Cerro permit-parking district here and calls the area Oceanaire on its Neighborhood Watch map.
Later homes on Valley View Road and on Burrell Lane and Park Place were built mostly in the 1980s. Del Cerro Park sits on land that was once part of the federal Nike Site 55.
