Pacific View
Pacific View is a neighborhood of about 345 single-family homes beside Fred Hesse Jr. Community Park, off Hawthorne Boulevard. It was built in two stages: Locklenna Lane, Faircove Drive and neighboring streets in 1966–67, then Verde Ridge Road, Kings Harbor Drive, Warnick Road and Whites Point Drive from 1970 to 1972.

Living in Pacific View
The city's Neighborhood Watch map names the area after the park. Hesse Park has a community center, baseball and soccer fields, picnic areas, a quarter-mile walking path and, in its lower section, paths with views from Catalina Island north to Malibu. The Pacific View HOA has taken part in the city's neighborhood beautification grants.
