La Rotonda
La Rotonda is the small group of homes on the ocean side of Palos Verdes Drive South, around La Rotonda Drive and beside the Trump National golf course in southeast Rancho Palos Verdes. It pairs a condominium complex of about 100 units built in 1974 with a tract of homesites recorded in 1999 for the Ocean Trails project, where houses have gone up since 2002.

Living in La Rotonda
Ocean Trails was the original name of the golf course and its home lots. On June 2, 1999, shortly before the course was to open, a landslide sent much of its 18th hole toward the ocean. The property changed hands in November 2002 and opened as Trump National Golf Club Los Angeles on January 20, 2006.
La Rotonda Drive ends at a public parking lot for the city's Ocean Trails Reserve, where 65 acres were restored as habitat for the California gnatcatcher. The city's Neighborhood Watch map uses the name La Rotonda for both the condominiums and the homesites.
