Rollingwood
Rollingwood is a mid-1950s neighborhood in northwest Rolling Hills Estates, set between Silver Spur Road, Hawthorne Boulevard and Palos Verdes Drive North. The McCarthy Company sold it as Rollingwood Estates, with houses designed by architect Edward H. Fickett and built by Walter R. Sant and Sons on three tracts recorded in 1955 and 1956.

Living in Rollingwood
In April 1957 the Torrance Press reported that seven Fickett model homes were drawing record crowds, with nearly $6 million in homes sold so far. Buyers could choose three or four bedrooms, or three bedrooms and a family room, each with two baths, and some plans offered open-beam ceilings. The project received a 1957 House of the Year design award from Better Homes and Gardens.
Most of the about 360 homes on the three original tracts date from 1956 and 1957, and a design magazine has called Rollingwood Estates a well-preserved neighborhood. Rockbluff Drive continues east onto a smaller 1957 tract toward Rockbluff Park.
