Living in Rolling Hills Country Club Estates
The newer homes came out of the Chandler Ranch/Rolling Hills Country Club project, which the city reviewed as lead agency from 2008 and approved in 2011. The plan called for 114 single-family homes, a reconfigured 18-hole course of about 152 acres and a new clubhouse, with the holes displaced by the homes moved onto the reclaimed Chandler's quarry site.
The club was established in 1965. It says its new course, designed by David McLay Kidd, and its clubhouse were built in 2018; the city's General Plan lists the clubhouse as completed in 2019. Rolling Hills Estates annexed the Chandler Quarry and Country Club Estates areas in 1959.
