Living in Montecillo
A 1960s Montecillo sign listed its eight original streets: Montecillo, Vista Real, Aurora and Encanto drives and Celeste, Lantana, Cerrito and Dorado places. The Montecillo Homeowners Association put out its first newsletter in 1962, the same year as papers on the development of Jack Kramer's Montecillo Tennis and Swim Club.
Later additions include Bridlewood Circle, a cul-de-sac off Palos Verdes Drive East built in 1978, and a few newer homes on Casaba Road from the mid-2010s.
