Recorded on June 19, 1924, Tract 8471 is the Via Canada side of original Miraleste, with Lorraine Road, Nancy Road, Picardie Road, El Tesoro Place and part of Miraleste Drive. A 1928 photograph in the library district's archive shows one of its first houses, on the stretch of Miraleste Drive once known as Western Avenue.

Miraleste, Rancho Palos Verdes
Miraleste is the hillside district on the harbor side of the Palos Verdes Peninsula in Rancho Palos Verdes, along Miraleste Drive and Palos Verdes Drive East. It began as one of the four districts of the Palos Verdes Project, the planned community laid out with the Olmsted Brothers, and its first tracts were recorded in 1924. Later streets filled in through the 1950s and 1960s.
