Mira Verde

Mira Verde is the townhome community on Ridgethorne, Ridgefern, Ridgepoint, Ridgeforest and neighboring courts. It was built in 1975–78 across two tracts recorded in December 1972. B. R. Morris Development Company opened its model homes in 1974 beside its earlier Ridgegate, with floor plans by the firm of Stephen G. Oppenheim, AIA and Associates.

A 1975 description credits both Mira Verde and Ridgegate with swimming and therapy pools, night-lighted tennis and paddle tennis courts and clubhouses. That description gave 250 units; the two recorded tracts hold about 275 homes. Listings today describe Mira Verde as gated.

Highridge, Rancho Palos Verdes
Highridge is the cluster of townhome, condominium and apartment communities along Highridge Road, Peacock Ridge Road and Ravenspur Drive, with about 1,500 homes. Most date from 1973 to 1979. The largest are the Ridgegate and Mira Verde townhome communities, which B. R. Morris Development Company began selling in 1973 and 1974.
